In the past two years, Bank of America has completely revamped their online banking site and mobile app. The changes over time have been subtle — but I still remember when I first downloaded the app, creating my login after opening my account, et cetera.. but it wasn’t until this summer when I noticed some new features on the site that I really started customizing my online banking experience.
I specifically wanted to point out how wonderful their online chat support is, and how great it continues to become as each month passes. If I ever have any questions, rather than googling the answer and searching my way to the best solution, I activate an online banking conversation with one of the representatives and within seconds I’m connected. The conversations are very professional– as in, it doesn’t take me any longer than a few short sentences to explain my personal situation and the request/answer I need. They are also surprisingly friendly, but in a down to earth, personal kind of way. I always feel like I just chatted with some super star worker. The experience is much different than calling on your cell, pressing a buttload of buttons until finally you reach the wrong department. So, the next time you’re online banking, just give the chat a try. It is a unique feature I think more people should take advantage of today.
One thing I insist you do (this very instant!) is to make sure you are adding your “cash back deals” on your online banking account when you’re signed in. The tab is to the far right of the screen. Here is a screen shot of the tabs you will see shortly after logging on — do you see the “cash back deals” option I am talking about?

Click this link, and depending on the region/time you sign up, there should be a list of companies with 10-15 percent cash back offerings. Each of the listings has a green button to the far right side; if interested in a particular restaurant, for example, simply click this green button and TADA the next time you go there you’ll earn cash back deals!
Here are some of the deals I found when logging in, and surprisingly a lot of them apply to stores I go to frequently (Starbucks… that’s a daily saving right there).

All it takes is one second to add these discounts, so don’t forget to take advantage of them. To ignore this would be like ignoring your Amazon Prime membership and paying for standard shipping rates when you get 2 day shipping for free. Ya know what I mean?
