If not, you should start.
I’ve been trying to convince my friends to use the app, but I think the extra accessory threw them off. It complicates the process of attaining the app.
iPhone users have thousands of apps available for them to download on the App Store, why download the “Square” application when you need the accessory to use it? When are you actually going to go get the Square? Do you even need it?
Reasons why you should download the square application:
1. It’s free, and so is the Square accessory
–Once you download the Square from the App store (for free), you register with your e-mail address and verify your identity with your social security number. This step might cause many to feel uneasy about going through with the registration process, but don’t forget you use the app to link your bank account with the card reader. It is also password protected.
–After you successfully register an account with the Square, the offices send you a SQUARE for FREE!
2. Once you have your Square card reader, life gets that much easier.
–Assuming you made a Square account, your card reader will arrive in 1-2 weeks. I received mine after 5 days. After you open your card reader, just plug it into your phone and that’s all the setup it needs.
If you sell things at the local farmers market, now customers can pay with credit/debit cards instead of only cash. Even add the tip option so you can remind your customers without having an awkward tip jar hanging in their face.
If your roommate borrowed 20 bucks from you and hasn’t paid you back because they never have cash, start charging them.
Group dining? No more waiting 30 minutes for the waiter/waitress to try splitting up the bill correctly, and no more having to pay for your friends expecting them to pay you back. With the square, you can pay for the bill with one card and create individual prices on your phone for your friends to pay you back with just a swipe of their card.
Here are a few pictures of my Square that hopefully inspire you to get your own! Don’t forget, it’s free!
The card reader paired with the app, I thought these colors made the screen stand out (making it easier to see)
